NON-FOOTBALL STORIES 1934

While looking through old documents, it is almost inevitable that the reader's attention will be drawn from the intended target to other articles. The report below was found in an old Scotsman newspaper. Although it has no football content, it may be of interest.

DEATH OF ARDROSSAN’S OLDEST INHABITANT
The death has taken place of Ardrossan’s oldest inhabitant, Mrs Crawford of 12 Hill Place.  She was ninety-three years of age and up till just before her death, which occurred after only a few days’ illness, she took full charge of her own house.  All her faculties were remarkably well-preserved and she possessed a character of strong individuality.
