DEMISE OF ARDROSSAN CELTIC
The Ayrshire County meeting did not last long, the
sub-committee having more business to transact than the general body.
The new clubs this season are Catrine,
Lugar, Cumnock Juniors, Prestwick United, Trabboch and Kilmarnock
Springvale.
The clubs who have not come forward this
season are Ardrossan Celtic, Ayr United, Camlarg, Saint
Joseph ‘s Hibs, Riccarton Juniors, Saint Andrew ‘s United, Rankinston
Mountaineers, Skares and Springside.
Surprisingly, this is the only reference found on the demise of
Ardrossan Celtic. The story was not mentioned in the Ardrossan and
Saltcoats Herald.
