On Saturday (18 April 1890), a match between the Ardeer Rangers and Ardrossan Celtic took place at Stevenston and resulted in a draw, two goals each.

Ardrossan Celtic Football Club was founded in 1896 and played only one reported game.

Another Ardrossan Celtic Football Club played between 1901 and 1913.
